Description
The new 130 Airlines Safety Comparison covers about 90% of commercial air traffic in the world. It is NOT a ranking, but a comparison of all major airlines by their key safety parameters such as fleet age, number of hull losses, incidents, the number of systemic safety risks and – of course – the Risk Ranking Index. Learn more about the JACDEC Risk Index Here [LINK]
It gives you the perfect supplement to the limited Airline Ranking which covers only 75 airliners per region. Now you get knowledge about the risk level of smaller airlines, which the traditional ranking does not cover.
We plan to renew the comparison annually as well.
NOTE: Like any other ranking, the data is based on the end of the previous year. For the 2025 list, all data is from JAN 1st 2025. For an up-to-date safety overview, we recommend checking our Safety Vetting, getting access to our Database, or obtaining a detailed 6-page Safety Report of your airline of interest.
